Every year in Tashkent Japan Education Fair takes place featuring the participation of more than 20 leading universities and colleges from Japan. This event is a key highlight for uzbek youth who aspire to broaden their educational horizons and immerse themselves in the rich culture and way of life in Japan.
The development of successful cooperation in the field of education between the two countries involves organizing an annual fair of Japanese universities with the aim of acquainting young people with educational programs and scholarships. The Uzbekistan-Japan Center conducts this exhibition in collaboration with the Representative office of Nagoya University in Uzbekistan (Tashkent), the University of Tsukuba (Japan), the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Association of Japanese Language Teachers in Uzbekistan.
It is expected that this fair will make a significant contribution to improving the education of Central Asian youth. Providing information about educational programs, scholarships and opportunities for students creates a platform for the growth and development of education in the region.
The importance of this fair for Central Asian youth cannot be overstated. Among all the countries in the region, only Uzbekistan hosts such events, which demonstrates a high level of interest in studying at Japanese universities. Each year, more and more students attend the fair, seeking a high-quality education that they can successfully apply upon returning to their home country.
Currently, more than 400 uzbek students are studying in various fields at Japanese universities. Over the past three years, the educational fair has witnessed the signing of more than 10 memorandums and agreements for cooperation between Uzbek and Japanese universities, as well as research institutes. This contributes to strengthening collaboration in the fields of education and science between the two countries.
